Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taka Httio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes to the cage accompanied by Shogun. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Httio closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rua did well to prevent Httio getting side control.
Rua moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Httio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Httio passes Rua's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Httio wants to stand but Rua has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Httio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Httio drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
