Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. On his way into the cage it seems that Mike Norris has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mike Norris seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Norris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stevenson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Norris is breathing heavily. Stevenson looks to land a combination but Norris avoids it well. Stevenson throws out a loose jab but Norris uses good head movement to avoid it. Stevenson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Norris sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stevenson tries a head kick but it misses.
Norris thows a body shot but no joy. Stevenson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Norris tries to work over Stevenson's front leg with a kick but Stevenson checks it. Norris throws a head kick but Stevenson moves out of range.
Stevenson misses with a leg kick and Norris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stevenson wants to stand and escape but Norris is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris trying to control but Stevenson is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stevenson scores with a head kick.
A combination from Stevenson does no damage. Norris gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Stevenson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Stevenson lands a high kick!

and Norris counters with a head kick. Stevenson throws a lazy head kick and Norris counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Stevenson misses with the combination.
Stevenson throws a head kick that misses and Stevenson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stevenson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Norris dodges the punch combination from Stevenson.

Stevenson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Stevenson misses with a double jab
and Norris counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stevenson's knee momentarily. Norris throws a right and a left that Stevenson avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Stevenson misses with a combination
and Norris counters with a flying knee. Nice. Norris scores a takedown into full mount! Norris tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stevenson really wants to buck Norris off and get back to his feet. Norris with a couple of short strikes. Norris scoring with strikes but Stevenson is staying in there. Norris wants to finish this one by submission but Stevenson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Norris. You get the feeling that Stevenson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Norris is going olschool here, as he tries to force Stevenson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stevenson shrugs it off. Norris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Norris putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Norris tries to control but Stevenson wriggling away. Norris won't let Stevenson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Stevenson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Norris is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stevenson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Stevenson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Norris controlling from the full mount. Norris lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stevenson hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Norris dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Stevenson. Norris shrugs it off though. A head kick by Stevenson misses and Norris counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Stevenson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Stevenson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Norris is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Stevenson. Stevenson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stevenson. Stevenson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Stevenson throws a right hand that Norris ducks under and follows up with a left that Norris also avoids with ease. Norris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stevenson. That did some damage! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stevenson throws a right hand that Norris ducks under and follows up with a left that Norris also avoids with ease. Norris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stevenson did well to prevent Norris getting side control.

He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Stevenson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
