Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shah Rokhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Roundhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roundhouse is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Good Girls Gone Bad by Cobra Starship. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Devin Roundhouse! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roundhouse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rokhan. Roundhouse closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Roundhouse not landing any meaningful shots this time. Roundhouse is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rokhan is refusing to be controlled, as Roundhouse sits in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roundhouse connects with a nice short shot to Rokhan's temple. Roundhouse is pressing down on Rokhan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rokhan is holding on for now. Roundhouse controlling the pace. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roundhouse seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rokhan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Roundhouse throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rokhan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Roundhouse is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rokhan shoots and misses and Roundhouse counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Rokhan tries to clinch but fails miserably and Roundhouse counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rokhan is breathing heavily. Roundhouse wants to pass the guard but Rokhan is keeping the position. Rokhan is trying to control the position but Roundhouse postures up. Roundhouse pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rokhan is keeping the position for now. Roundhouse throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roundhouse wants to control from the top but Rokhan keeps moving. Roundhouse showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Roundhouse postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rokhan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Roundhouse is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rokhan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Roundhouse's back instead. Roundhouse trying to control the position but Rokhan manages to sink in the hooks. Roundhouse manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rokhan's guard. Nice work there by Roundhouse.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Roundhouse is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Roundhouse stays in close to Rokhan's body and controls the position. Roundhouse passes Rokhan's left leg - he's now in half guard. Roundhouse is controlling the pace.

Roundhouse throws a jab when Rokhan was well out of range. Rokhan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rokhan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Roundhouse. Roundhouse lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Rokhan shoots and misses and Roundhouse counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rokhan! Roundhouse pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Roundhouse unloading with bombs! Roundhouse controlling from mount. Roundhouse sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Roundhouse controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roundhouse wants to control the pace but Rokhan is squirming around nicely. Roundhouse scoring with strikes but Rokhan is staying in there. Roundhouse is in the full mount, landing strikes. Rokhan can't escape the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Devin Roundhouse just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rokhan with a lazy takedown attempt and Roundhouse counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Roundhouse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Roundhouse closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rokhan did well to prevent Roundhouse getting side control. Rokhan wants to control but Roundhouse is keeping busy.

Devin Roundhouse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Let's hope that Roundhouse has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Devin Roundhouse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roundhouse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
