Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Shoota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Frank Tomas has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frank Tomas seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Tomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Shoota! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoota throws a hook but Tomas blocks it. Shoota misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shoota throws a nice looking combination but Tomas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tomas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tomas showed some decent athleticism there. Tomas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tomas working the head and body with strikes. Shoota wants to get back to his feet. Tomas is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Tomas stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Tomas has closed the distance and engaged Shoota in a clinch.
Shoota tries for a takedown but Tomas manages to get underhooks.
Shoota looks gassed! Tomas manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Tomas throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Shoota must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomas wants to sweep but no luck. Shoota wants to stand and escape but instead Tomas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Tomas's corner is telling him to maintain position. Shoota is wriggling around but Tomas manages to pass to half guard.
Tomas slows the pace down in half guard. Shoota pushes Tomas off looking to stand but Tomas dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Shoota is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shoota is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tomas is controlling him. Tomas lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Shoota is looking to stand back up but Tomas counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Shoota. Shoota really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tomas takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Tomas stops Shoota from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tomas connects with a body shot. Shoota throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tomas closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tomas clinches up against the cage. Shoota wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tomas throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Tomas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shoota's efforts to push away. Tomas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. King Shoota is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tomas looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Shoota is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shoota is looking to stand back up but Tomas counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Shoota. Shoota looks like he's trying to stand up.
Shoota is refusing to be controlled, as Tomas sits in half guard. Shoota tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Tomas manages to move to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tomas lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tomas trying to control but Shoota is having none of it. You get the feeling that Shoota really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Tomas has hold of Shoota's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shoota manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Tomas wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tomas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shoota manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Tomas dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Shoota cracks Tomas with a good jab. Tomas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shoota throws out the jab. Tomas moves out of range of the strikes. Shoota is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tomas wants to clinch up but Shoota keeps it at a distance. Tomas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tomas sitting in guard, not really doing much. Tomas passes Shoota's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomas decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Shoota throws a combination that misses and Tomas counters with a good low kick that Shoota was not able to check. Shoota keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
King Shoota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shoota lands with an uppercut that bounces Tomas off the cage and back into rage. Shoota gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tomas to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shoota wants to stand up but Tomas is controlling him. Shoota is looking to stand back up but Tomas counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Shoota. Shoota is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Tomas has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Shoota is tapping! This fight is all over!
