Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Stingfinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Rock! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rock shoots in and bounces Stingfinger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Stingfinger wants to stand up but Rock is controlling him. Stingfinger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rock on the ground. Stingfinger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rock slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rock gets to his feet. Stingfinger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Stingfinger misses with a head kick.
Rock lands a front kick. Stingfinger is breathing heavily. Stingfinger tries a head kick but it misses.
Rock avoids the head kick by Stingfinger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stingfinger but Stingfinger pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rock throws a combination. Stingfinger tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Oh, that's a big right hand from Rock and Stingfinger goes tumbling to the canvas! Rock follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Stingfinger is rocked!
It looks like Ray Stingfinger has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rock stalling. Rock lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rock stalling. Rock decides to return to a standing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock misses with the combination.

Rock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rock misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rock gets a trip takedown into half guard. Rock stalling. Rock missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stingfinger tries to kick Rock off but Rock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Stingfinger is trying to stand up here but Rock is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rock lands with a punch from half guard. Rock seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rock missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Rock dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ray Stingfinger's cut. That's time! Stingfinger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Stingfinger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Stingfinger throws a head kick that misses and Rock counters with a series of strikes. Stingfinger will be more careful next time no doubt. Rock throws a right and a left that both miss. Rock shoots in and bounces Stingfinger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rock is standing up over Stingfinger. Stingfinger looks to escape but Rock dives into side control.
Rock controls the position from side control. Rock in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee asks Rock politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rock prefers to stall for the moment though. Rock looks up at the clock and then as Stingfinger takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rock smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Rock landing a few strikes. Stingfinger is looking to get back to his feet here but Rock is keeping cool and he's managed to take Stingfinger's back. Rock is punishing Stingfinger with strikes - can he finish him?! Stingfinger has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Rock sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Stingfinger taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nick Rock!
