The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nordlund uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stenhard.
Stenhard moves in looking to clinch but Nordlund pushes him off.
Stenhard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A left and a right from Nordlund both land. Nice combination.
Stenhard shoots in but Nordlund avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stenhard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Stenhard.
Nordlund fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stenhard on the side of the head.

Nordlund stalks Stenhard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stenhard's face. Stenhard staggers backwards, shaken.

Nordlund is pushing Stenhard's head away, looking to escape. Stenhard manages to hold on to the position though.

Nordlund really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stenhard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stenhard advances to full mount.
Stenhard stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

and Nordlund counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stenhard misses with an uppercut.
Stenhard takes a swing at Nordlund's ribcage but misses.
Nordlund throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Stenhard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nordlund as he avoids it easily.
Stenhard shoots in but no luck this time.
Nordlund tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nordlund avoids the body shot from Stenhard.
Stenhard is looking to wear down Nordlund with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Stenhard closes the distance and clinches up with Nordlund, looking for a takedown. Stenhard pushes Nordlund against the cage but Nordlund circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nordlund circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Stenhard drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Nordlund follows Stenhard to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
