The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson is looking to clinch. McSwing fails with a takedown attempt. Jackson with a poor takedown and McSwing counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jackson! McSwing postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.
McSwing content just to control the position here. BOOM! McSwing connects with a massive shot to the dome!

McSwing takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackson misses with a takedown and McSwing counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McSwing trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jackson has his foot on McSwing's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McSwing works his way back into a safe position though. McSwing looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McSwing can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson wants to pass the guard but McSwing is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jackson closes the distance but McSwing moves to the side and McSwing decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard. McSwing won't allow Jackson to sweep him here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McSwing accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jackson keeping moving, preventing McSwing from controlling successfully. Jackson is trying to keep McSwing in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jackson keeping full guard, as McSwing tries to pass. McSwing wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but McSwing sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat. Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy McSwing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Jackson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Jackson tries for a kimura but McSwing is defending well. Jackson stands up. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jackson uses from the top position. Jackson trying to control but McSwing is having none of it. Brandon Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McSwing tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control. Jackson working for a submission but McSwing is keeping him at bay. McSwing tries to improve his position but instead Jackson has taken his back!
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. I think McSwing has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
