Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Cartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Thunder!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Cartman as Thunder shoots in.
Thunder shoots in for a takedown but Cartman shows good takedown defense.
Cartman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thunder swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thunder is looking to clinch but Cartman is avoiding it.
Cartman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Thunder tries a head kick but it misses.
Thunder misses the shot to the body.
Cartman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thunder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thunder misses with a body kick.
Thunder swings for the body but Cartman moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tommy Thunder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Thunder is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Thunder looks gassed!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Thunder.

Thunder is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cartman is defending well for now.
Thunder content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Thunder can't find room to land a body shot as Cartman controls the action.
With the fighters up against the cage, Thunder throws an elbow but misses.
Cartman tries to break free but Thunder pushes him back against the cage.
Cartman is trying to break the clinch but Thunder is controlling him.

Cartman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Thunder throws a punch but it's blocked by Cartman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Cartman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No luck for Thunder with that takedown attempt.

and Cartman counters with a crisp one two that drops Thunder! Cartman thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Thunder to his feet! Thunder is in big trouble!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cartman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thunder pulls his leg out and moves away.

Thunder throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cartman was covering up waiting for the punch and Thunder finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cartman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thunder on the ground.

Thunder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cartman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Thunder tries to land a leg kick but Cartman saw it coming and moves away.
Thunder wants to clinch up but Cartman keeps it at a distance.

Cartman blocks a head kick by Thunder.
Cartman misses with a takedown attempt - Thunder sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Thunder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cartman is fending him off so far but Thunder persists. Nope, Cartman circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thunder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Cartman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Thunder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cartman just stands there and leans against the cage.

Thunder creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Thunder has Cartman pressed against the cage, preventing Cartman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thunder. Cartman does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cartman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thunder circles away quickly and effectively.

Cartman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
