Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akseli Tommila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommila comes to the cage accompanied by Blue moon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Reed!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Tommila drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tommila takes a little break here. Reed wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Tommila trying to control the action but Reed is working from the bottom.
Tommila is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Reed will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Akseli Tommila just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Tommila rushes Reed and presses him up against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tommila lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tommila keeps control of Reed as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Reed tries to break the clinch but Tommila is controlling the position.

Reed has had enough of the clinch but Tommila keeps him there for the moment.
Reed is pressed up against the cage. Tommila has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reed down to the mat. Reed avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tommila closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tommila gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Reed.
Tommila wants a takedown but no success here.

Tommila prevents a takedown attempt there.
Akseli Tommila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Reed.
Tommila lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Tommila pulls Reed into guard.
Tommila wants to sweep here but Reed controlling him for the moment.

Tommila working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tommila trying to keep a closed guard but Reed is proving a slippery customer.
Reed wants to control from the top but Tommila keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tommila avoids the head kick by Reed.

Tommila closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Reed has his takedown stuffed

and Tommila counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tommila.
Reed wants to get back to his feet but Tommila passes into half guard.
Reed wants to sweep but Tommila has passed to side control!
Tommila is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Reed will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Tommila trying to control the position but Reed is working away.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Reed sneaks back into half guard.
Reed is looking to improve his position.
Tommila not doing much here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tommila is pressing down on Reed's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reed is holding on for now.
Tommila is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Reed actively working from the bottom here.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Reed wants to get back to full guard.

Tommila is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Akseli Tommila just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Reed misses with a takedown

and Tommila holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Tommila jumps guard.
Tommila is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tommila is on top in guard.

Tommila decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Reed, up you get!

Tommila closes the distance and clinches.
A short right from Tommila on the inside.
Tommila pushes Reed back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
with the fighters clinched against the cage, Tommila creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Reed not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Reed is pulling down on Tommila's head. It's preventing any offense from Tommila, at least for the moment.
Tommila forces his way into half guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Reed wants to break the clinch but can't.

Tommila has hold of one of Reed's legs. Reed is fighting the takedown attempt but Tommila gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Tommila forces his way into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tommila is looking to take a break and control but Reed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reed regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tommila controlling from the top position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Reed working for a triangle but Tommila defends it easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reed is on top in guard.

Tommila is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tommila looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Tommila is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Reed makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reed.

Tommila wants to pass the guard but Reed is keeping the position.
Reed being controlled here, momentarily.
Tommila has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tommila stands up from Reed's guard - Tommila perhaps looking for a knockout.
Tommila throws a head kick that half lands.
Akseli Tommila is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tommila shoots in and bounces Reed off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cameron Reed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Tommila has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
