Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Sullivin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom DeLonge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Richard Sullivin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Sullivin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom DeLonge! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeLonge shoots in for a takedown but Sullivin shows good takedown defense. Sullivin slaps away a takedown attempt from DeLonge, before circling back to the center of the mat. DeLonge misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Richard Sullivin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom DeLonge. Sullivin drives through and clinches with DeLonge against the cage.
Sullivin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. DeLonge decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. DeLonge is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sullivin sees it coming and defends easily. DeLonge looks to land a strike but Sullivin avoids it nicely and regains full guard. DeLonge postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sullivin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
DeLonge pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sullivin is keeping the position for now. Sullivin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sullivin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from DeLonge. Sullivin could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. DeLonge looks gassed! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sullivin is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivin looking to pass the guard. Sullivin passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sullivin cracks DeLonge with an elbow. That is naaassty. Sullivin trying to control the action but DeLonge is working from the bottom. Sullivin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. DeLonge tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sullivin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. DeLonge throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. DeLonge is looking for a sweep. Sullivin has an Americana. DeLonge didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sullivin is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sullivin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Richard Sullivin!
