Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsufubu Rofuru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Son kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I WILL BE HEARD. Rofuru has chosen Tetsuya Komuro - Speed 2 as his entrance music. Daniel Son could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matsufubu Rofuru's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Son misses with a double jab.
Rofuru circles away from the clinch attempt.
Son defending well as Rofuru loads up on a big left hand.

Rofuru shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Son is trying to defend but Rofuru finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Son takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Daniel Son is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rofuru shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Son pinned against the cage. Son gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Son had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rofuru is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Son Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rofuru's back instead.

Rofuru shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Son's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Son pushes Rofuru off and scrambles back to his feet.

so Rofuru counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rofuru postures up and lands a big shot to Son's brow.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Son on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Son kicks Rofuru off and gets back to his feet.
Son misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rofuru walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Son checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rofuru looks to score with a jab to the body but Son is just out of range.
Rofuru scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Son doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rofuru is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Son!

Matsufubu Rofuru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rofuru is defended easily by Son.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
