Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dixon Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Zulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dixon Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaka Zulu! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zulu takes a swing at Cox's ribcage but misses. No joy there for Cox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cox tries to clinch up. Zulu clinches up against the cage. Zulu tries to pull guard but Cox holds him up against the cage and eventually Zulu drops back down to his feet.
Cox is trying to break the clinch but Zulu is controlling him. Cox is looking to break free of the clinch but Zulu has double underhooks. Zulu jumps guard but Cox stands there with Zulu around his waist. Zulu gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cox wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cox has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Zulu clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Zulu rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Cox wants to stand but Zulu has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Zulu is positioning himself well to prevent Cox advancing to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Cox. Cox thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Zulu moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Cox avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zulu is looking for a triangle but Cox pushes his legs off easily.
Cox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zulu is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zulu looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cox with a nice head shot there. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Zulu holds on and takes a little breather. Cox with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cox cracks Zulu with a solid left hand. Cox trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cox tries to stand but Zulu is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cox throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zulu on the ground. Cox with a flurry of punches that miss. Cox with a flurry of punches that miss. Cox throwing strikes but missing. Cox throwing strikes from guard but Zulu blocks nicely.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zulu avoids the head kick by Cox.
Zulu just misses with a punch to the body.
Zulu swats away the attempt to clinch by Cox. Cox misses with a jab, cross combination.

Cox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cox misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zulu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cox manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cox is breathing heavily. Zulu passes Cox's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Zulu with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cox trying to hold on to Zulu's head to control him but Zulu postures up.
Zulu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cox does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cox looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cox missing with punches from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shaka Zulu will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cox takes a kick to the side of the head. Zulu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cox tries for a takedown but Zulu circles away easily and Zulu counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Cox is lucky that one didn't land flush. Cox shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zulu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Zulu gets to his feet - Cox follows without any prompting. Zulu lands a right hook to the body.
Cox tries to clinch but fails miserably and Zulu counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cox scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Zulu manages to mount him!
Zulu is going olschool here, as he tries to force Cox to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cox shrugs it off. Zulu controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cox is looking to get to half guard. Zulu looking to control and managing it successfully. Cox throwing hammer fists to the chest of Zulu. What's that going to do exactly? Shaka Zulu has got the better of the ground game so far. Cox working to try and regain half guard.
Cox wants to hold on but Zulu pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cox tries to control Zulu's body but Zulu pushes him off. Cox squirms to his side and now Zulu has his back! You can see the frustration on Cox's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Zulu trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Cox doesn't escape. Cox looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Zulu keeps control of the position easily here as Cox tries to buck him off.

Cox is trying to stand back up. Cox trying to control but not successfully. Cox tries to break free.
Zulu gets his hands free as Cox looks to control. Cox trying to get back to his feet but Zulu is in full control for now.

He has one arm under the chin but Cox has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Zulu is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Cox won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Zulu off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shaka Zulu!
