Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Parent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocket Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oliver Parent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocket Stone! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parent shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stone is trying to defend but Parent finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Parent is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone tries to get to full guard but Parent has control of the leg. Stone keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Parent not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Parent is working away from the top position though. Parent uses his free foot to push down on Stone's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stone. Parent unloading with bombs!
That's one minute gone in the round. Parent controlling the position easily from mount. Stone working to try and regain half guard.
Stone is squirming around, avoiding Parent's attempts to control the action. Parent working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Parent controlling from the full mount. Stone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Parent controlling the position easily from mount. Stone throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Stone is wriggling around trying to escape.
Parent won't let Stone get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Parent prevents Stone from getting the reversal. Parent sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parent tries to control but Stone wriggling away. Parent prevents Stone from getting the reversal. Parent controlling the pace for now. Parent raining down shots from the mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Parent manages to capitalize on a mistake by Stone to take his back! Stone turns into Parent and is now in his guard.
Stone would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parent working for a triangle but Stone defends it easily.
Parent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oliver Parent dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Parent checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Stone has his takedown stuffed and Parent counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stone is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone works his way to full guard. Good work. Stone keeping moving, preventing Parent from controlling successfully. Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Parent works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stone. Parent wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. Parent lands a couple of digs. Stone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stone is breathing heavily. Parent content to stall in guard here. Parent tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Parent controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Parent trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parent is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Parent prevents Stone from getting back to his feet. Stone wants to control but Parent passes easily into half guard.
Parent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parent is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Stone looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Parent lands shots from the back. Stone trying to control the hands but Parent breaks the grip. Parent has good solid back control here. Parent lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parent controls the position. Stone is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Parent is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Stone knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Stone for a finish. Stone looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Stone tries to roll but Parent sticks to his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oliver Parent dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Stone misses with a body shot
and Parent counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Parent prevents Stone from improving his position. Parent seems to be looking for submissions.
Parent not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Parent stops Stone from getting back to his feet.
Parent is just content to waste time from the top position. Stone takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Parent won't allow Stone to get back to his feet. Stone working a defensive guard but Parent manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stone manages to work his way to half guard, despite Parent's best efforts. Stone avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Parent. Parent performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Stone is not content to let Parent control the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Oliver Parent just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Stone shoots and misses and Parent counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stone! Stone manages to regain half guard. Good work. Parent decides to stand up. Stone has his takedown stuffed and Parent counters with a shoot takedown. Stone fights it but they end up in guard. Stone is trying to control the position but Parent postures up. Stone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Parent controls the pace. Oliver Parent overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parent is one step ahead there. Stone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Parent passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Parent performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Parent sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stone defending well though. Parent missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Parent is working for an americana but Stone has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Parent was thinking about the submission. Stone trying to strike off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Oliver Parent showed his dominance in that final round. Well Parent has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
