Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Muscat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muscat is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ultimate fighter song. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Muscat!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva throws a nice inside leg kick.
Muscat has a takedown stuffed.
Muscat shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Muscat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Muscat dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Muscat's head and hops out.
Anderson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Muscat.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Muscat.
Muscat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.

Muscat has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Silva is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Muscat has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Muscat jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Muscat gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Muscat is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Silva has Muscat pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Muscat is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Silva - that's hurt Muscat badly! Oh, another knee lands and Muscat is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Muscat doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Anderson Silva!
