Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Haysmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saulnier Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tom Haysmith has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tom Haysmith seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Haysmith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Saulnier Raymond! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haysmith lands a right hook to the body.
Haysmith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Raymond looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Raymond is looking to reverse the position. Haysmith is looking to take a break and control but Raymond is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haysmith tries to move to mount but Raymond blocks the move with his legs. Haysmith in side control lands a decent elbow. Raymond regains half guard. Raymond wants to get back to full guard. Haysmith seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Raymond moves into full guard.
Raymond looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Raymond looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raymond keeping moving, preventing Haysmith from controlling successfully. Raymond working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Haysmith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Haysmith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Haysmith tries to stand but Raymond is controlling from the bottom. Haysmith trying to control but Raymond is working from the bottom. Raymond looking to hit a scissor sweep but Haysmith is one step ahead there. Raymond looks gassed! Raymond working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Haysmith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Haysmith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Haysmith connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Raymond looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Haysmith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Haysmith working the ground and pound from side control. Haysmith stands up and beckons Raymond to his feet. Haysmith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Haysmith seems content to control. Haysmith wants to control but Raymond is keeping him busy. Raymond looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Raymond works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raymond bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haysmith's guard. Haysmith has Raymond pulled in close to control his posture. Haysmith keeping full guard, as Raymond tries to pass. Haysmith has his feet on Raymond's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Raymond gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Haysmith counters with a nice body shot. Haysmith fails with a takedown attempt. Haysmith ducks under a wild hook from Raymond. Haysmith checks a leg kick. Raymond circles away from the clinch attempt.
Raymond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Haysmith makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Haysmith.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haysmith is trying to control the position but Raymond postures up. Raymond drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Haysmith dives on top into guard. Raymond working for a triangle but Haysmith defends it easily.
Haysmith has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Raymond is looking for a triangle here but Haysmith uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Haysmith trying to control the action but Raymond is working from the bottom. Raymond regains half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Raymond is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Haysmith pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raymond moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tom Haysmith will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Haysmith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Haysmith is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Haysmith looks for a takedown but Raymond sprawls well. Raymond closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Raymond lands in his opponent's guard. Raymond works a leg free and moves into half guard. Raymond is looking to advance position but Haysmith won't allow it. Raymond passes the guard and advances to mount! Raymond dominating with strikes here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Haysmith defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Raymond. Raymond quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Raymond but it's paid off an Haysmith is forced to tap! Nice work by Raymond.
