The crowd seem to be enjoying McIntyre's choice of entrance music: The Chosen One. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews throws a low kick but McIntyre avoids it.
McIntyre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Andrews is fending him off so far but McIntyre persists. Nope, Andrews circles away and we're back to standing.

McIntyre closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Andrews did well to prevent McIntyre getting side control.
McIntyre is looking to take a break and control but Andrews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Andrews slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Andrews keeping moving, preventing McIntyre from controlling successfully.

Andrews looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Andrews has his foot on McIntyre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McIntyre works his way back into a safe position though.

Andrews looking for subs off his back but McIntyre has passed one foot through into half guard.

McIntyre is trying to work for a kimura but Andrews is defending well.
McIntyre keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Let's hope that McIntyre has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

McIntyre takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Andrews tries to get to full guard but McIntyre has control of the leg.
McIntyre is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Andrews manages to get to full guard.
McIntyre trying to control the position from guard on top but Andrews is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

McIntyre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andrews swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McIntyre postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Andrews is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McIntyre, into his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

McIntyre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andrews defends well.
McIntyre wants to get back to his feet but Andrews is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Andrews drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McIntyre manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Andrews has McIntyre in his guard.
McIntyre with a flurry of punches that miss.
McIntyre tries to free his leg and advance position but Andrews is retaining full guard.

Andrews is looking for a triangle but McIntyre pushes his legs off easily.

McIntyre is posturing up here but Andrews has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! McIntyre tries to roll out but it's too tight and McIntyre has to tap! Slick submission there by Andrews!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Corey Andrews!
