Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wynn Adberson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edward Welch!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Welch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Welch is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Adberson swats away the attempt to clinch by Welch.

Welch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Adberson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Adberson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Welch's head.

Adberson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Welch can do anything to dispel that myth.

Welch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adberson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Adberson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Welch regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Adberson.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Welch kicks off Adberson and gets to his feet.
Adberson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Welch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Adberson throws a body punch but Welch moves out of range.
Welch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adberson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick misses from Welch.
Adberson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Welch.

Adberson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Welch was covering up waiting for the punch and Adberson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Adberson stands up over Welch, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Adberson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Adberson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Edward Welch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Adberson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
