Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petric tries to clinch there but Carioca circles away.

Petric has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Carioca regains guard immediately.

Carioca manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Carioca bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Carioca decides to stand back up. Carioca steps back and let's Petric get back to his feet.

Petric wants to stand back up but Carioca manages to pass into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petric pushes Carioca away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Carioca gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Petric is not content to let Carioca control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Petric misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Carioca closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Petric to the mat! Petric manages to get full guard.

Carioca is looking to take a break and control but Petric is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Carioca is taking a breather. Petric says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Carioca escapes and gets back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Petric is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carioca is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carioca has escaped and now he's on top!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carioca, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
