Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Awesome Offense (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Awesome Offense! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Big Joe! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Offense fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Big Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Offense swats away the attempt to clinch by Joe. Joe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Offense's guard. Offense is trying to keep Joe in close.
Joe stands and steps away. Offense gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Joe tries a head kick but it misses.
Offense lands a really nice looking cross but Joe seems unphased.
Offense lands a jab-cross combination. Offense changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Offense misses with a looping left. A big right from Offense misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Joe.
Joe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Joe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Offense's head. Offense is looking to escape. Joe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Offense defending well though. Offense is looking to improve his position.
Joe is thwarting Offense's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Offense slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Offense wants to sweep here but Joe controlling him for the moment. Offense not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Offense throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Joe sees it coming and avoids it easily. Joe closes the distance and clinches up with Offense, looking for a takedown. Joe pushes Offense against the cage but Offense circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Offense throws a right hand that Joe ducks under and follows up with a left that Joe also avoids with ease. Offense misses with the combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe blocks a head kick by Offense.
Joe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Offense working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Joe. Joe throws a strike but Offense rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Joe throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Joe throws his legs up looking for a submission but Offense uses it to pass to side control.
Joe looks gassed! Joe is pushing Offense's head away, looking to escape. Offense manages to hold on to the position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Offense is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Offense trying to control but he's not successful this time. Joe stops Offense from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Offense is going olschool here, as he tries to force Joe to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Joe shrugs it off. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Offense wants to control the pace but Joe is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Big Joe will probably get the nod. That's time! Offense's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Joe misses with a takedown attempt - Offense sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Joe gets the takedown into side control. Offense has one of Joe's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Offense struggling a bit here. Joe throws an elbow but Offense slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Offense tries to buck Joe off but Joe is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Offense's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Joe throwing strikes but Offense manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Joe can't do much from the bottom here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Offense displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Joe. Joe is breathing heavily. Offense lands a really nice looking cross but Joe seems unphased.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Offense cracks a nice hook into Joe's ribs. Offense bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Joe's head backwards. Joe moves out of range as Offense strikes. Offense throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Big Joe has been cut. Offense thows a left - swing and a miss! Joe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Offense sprawls well initially but Joe persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Offense wants to improve his position but Joe is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Offense's thigh. Offense counters though and makes it back to full guard. Joe trying to control but Offense is working from the bottom. Joe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Offense had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Joe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Offense Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Joe's back instead. Offense avoiding Joe 's attempts to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Offense just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Offense is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Joe has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Offense struggling to keep hold of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Awesome Offense dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Big Joe's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Joe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Offense keeps control of the position for the meantime. Joe is working for a kimura but Offense is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Joe is just content to waste time from the top position. Offense takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Offense controls Joe momentarily but Joe frees himself. Offense keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully. Joe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Offense lands a two punch combo.
Offense throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Joe sees it coming and avoids it easily. Awesome Offense is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Offense lands a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Offense misses with a leg kick and Joe counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Offense not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Offense looking for a sweep. Not yet Offense, not yet. Offense trying to control the position here. Offense working a defensive guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Awesome Offense. I think Offense has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
