Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer comes into the arena with Bodies blaring out of the sound system. Steve Nash will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Nash misses its intended target. Nash throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Palmer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nash. Nice defenses there by Palmer. Palmer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Palmer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Palmer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Palmer tries to pass to full mount but Nash defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Palmer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Palmer wants to free his trapped foot but Nash is holding on for dear life with his legs. Palmer is controlling the pace.
Nash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nash is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Palmer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nash defending well though. Nash trying to get back to full guard but Palmer takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Nash blocking the ground and pound. Nash is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nash is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nash blocking the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Palmer content just to control the position here. Palmer unloads with some shots from mount but Nash bucks and avoids them well.
Nash is bucking up trying to escape but Palmer cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Nash tries to hold on but Palmer postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Palmer controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dillon Palmer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Palmer is defended easily by Nash. Nash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nash throws the left hand but Palmer avoids the punch easily. Nash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Palmer manages to avoid it. Nash throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Palmer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nash lands a nice hook to Palmer's body. Palmer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nash throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nash lands a really nice looking cross but Palmer seems unphased.
It looks like Dillon Palmer has been cut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Palmer. Palmer fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dillon Palmer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nash tries to bum rush Palmer with a series of wild strikes but Palmer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nash throws a jab when Palmer was well out of range. Nash looks to score with a jab to the body but Palmer is just out of range. Palmer throws a head kick that misses. Nash misses with an uppercut. Palmer saw that one coming. Palmer slips a jab from Nash. Nash throws a jab but it's blocked by Palmer. Nash misses the shot to the body. Nash misses with an uppercut. Palmer saw that one coming. Nash loads up on a big right hand but Palmer slips the punch. A nice combination there by Nash.
Nash is breathing heavily. Nash scores with a decent looking hook. Palmer tries for a takedown but Nash sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Palmer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nash defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palmer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A big right from Nash misses. Palmer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Palmer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Steve Nash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nash lands with a hook. Palmer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Palmer shoots in for a takedown but Nash shows good takedown defense. Steve Nash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Palmer slips a straight right by Nash. Palmer shoots in and drives through. Nash sprawls well. Excellent takedown into side control there by Palmer. Palmer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nash tries to escape but Palmer is in control. Palmer is trying to get an arm triangle but Nash is defending well. Palmer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Palmer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nash some visible discomfort.
Nash is trying to escape the position but Palmer is controlling the position. Palmer is looking to take a break and control but Nash is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee asks Palmer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Palmer prefers to stall for the moment though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Nash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dillon Palmer's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Nash looks to land a right hand but Palmer moved out of range. Palmer takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Palmer drives through with a takedown into guard. Palmer wants to control from the top but Nash keeps moving. Nash can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palmer controls the pace. Nash is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Palmer is controlling him. Nash keeping moving, preventing Palmer from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer throws a strike but Nash rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Palmer will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nash throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Palmer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nash throws a hook to the side of Palmer's head but Palmer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nash swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Palmer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Palmer fails with a takedown attempt. Palmer slips under a jab. The fighters circling - Nash throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmer ducks under a wild hook from Nash. Nash misses with a hook. Palmer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nash. Nash misses with a straight left. Palmer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nash jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nash keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Palmer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nash throws out the jab. Nash misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
