Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Gorbachov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frade Francke ! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorbachov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Francke shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gorbachov as he jumps to the side. Sergei Gorbachov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gorbachov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gorbachov misses with a wild body shot. Gorbachov stuffs the takedown attempt from Francke . Francke gets slowly back to his feet. Gorbachov ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gorbachov looks to score with a jab to the body but Francke is just out of range. Francke shoots for a takedown but Gorbachov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sergei Gorbachov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frade Francke . We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Francke avoids a punch combination nicely.

Gorbachov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Francke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gorbachov tries to avoid it but Francke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gorbachov to the ground. Gorbachov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gorbachov thuds a left hand into Francke 's body. Gorbachov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Francke shoots in looking for a takedown. Gorbachov tries to sprawl out of it but Francke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gorbachov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Francke shoots in looking for a takedown. That's two minutes gone in the round. Gorbachov slaps away a takedown attempt from Francke , before circling back to the center of the mat. Francke tries to move into range but Gorbachov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Francke drives through with a takedown into guard. Francke works a leg free and moves into half guard. Francke is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gorbachov wants to get back to his feet.
Francke is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gorbachov sees it coming and defends easily. Gorbachov tries to kick Francke off in order to stand up. Francke Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Francke tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Francke has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gorbachov is looking to get back to his feet here but Francke is keeping cool and he's managed to take Gorbachov's back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gorbachov holding both Francke 's hands and preventing any damage. Gorbachov is breathing heavily. Francke working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Francke has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gorbachov is in real trouble here. Francke gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gorbachov is tapping out! Francke wins by rear naked choke!
