Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Igor Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Master BJJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royce Master BJJ will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Igor Sousa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Master BJJ!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Master BJJ changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sousa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sousa is trying to improve his position.
Master BJJ is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sousa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Master BJJ trying to control the action but Sousa is working from the bottom.
A lull in the action here as Master BJJ stalls from top position.
Master BJJ misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sousa can't do much from the bottom here.
Master BJJ staying calm.
Sousa tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sousa wants to control but Master BJJ postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sousa looks to move to half guard but instead Master BJJ has passed into mount! Damn!
Master BJJ throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sousa because Master BJJ loaded up on that one.
Sousa's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Master BJJ controlling the pace for now.

Master BJJ is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sousa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sousa!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Master BJJ bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sousa's guard.

Master BJJ avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sousa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Master BJJ advances position into side control!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Master BJJ trying to control the position but Sousa is working away.
Sousa regains half guard.
Master BJJ not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Master BJJ scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Sousa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sousa moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Royce Master BJJ dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Master BJJ tries to clinch but Sousa moves out of range.

Master BJJ gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sousa throws a strike but Master BJJ rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Master BJJ won't allow Sousa to get back to his feet.
Master BJJ passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sousa looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Master BJJ thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sousa tries to roll over but Master BJJ keeps him under control.
Master BJJ looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sousa looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Master BJJ is trying to control the action in half guard but Sousa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sousa gets back to full guard.
Master BJJ wants to stand but Sousa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sousa throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Sousa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Master BJJ doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sousa is tightening it up a little... Master BJJ has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Master BJJ reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Master BJJ taps out! nice BJJ there by Sousa!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Igor Sousa!
