Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waldo Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Slaughter had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Waldo Boss is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Slaughter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Waldo Boss!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slaughter looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slaughter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Slaughter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slaughter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Slaughter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slaughter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Slaughter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Boss is looking for a triangle but Slaughter pushes his legs off easily.
Boss looks gassed!
Slaughter scoring with some ground and pound.
Boss preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Boss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slaughter defends well.
Slaughter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boss is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Slaughter lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Boss preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Slaughter postures up.
Slaughter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Slaughter postures up and lands a big shot to Boss's brow.
Boss avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck for Slaughter with that takedown attempt.
Slaughter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slaughter somewhat.
Slaughter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boss looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boss managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Slaughter.
Slaughter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Slaughter working the ground and pound.
Slaughter throwing strikes but Boss manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Slaughter is trying to control Boss's posture but Boss avoids it.
Boss has an Americana. Slaughter didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Boss is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Boss hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Waldo Boss!
