Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kushin Takahashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Robinson! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Robinson defends it nicely. Robinson tries to clinch up. Takahashi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Takahashi drops back looking for a leg! Robinson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robinson manages to kick Takahashi off! Takahashi jumps back into Robinson's guard. Takahashi wants to control from the top but Robinson keeps moving. Takahashi won't allow Robinson to get back to his feet. Takahashi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takahashi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Takahashi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Robinson is trying to stand back up. He has the arm isolated but Robinson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Robinson tries to escape but Takahashi is in control. Robinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takahashi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Robinson is trying to escape the position but Takahashi is controlling the position. Robinson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Takahashi works to advance to full mount. Robinson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robinson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kushin Takahashi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Robinson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Takahashi fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kushin Takahashi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takahashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Robinson tries to sprawl out of it but Takahashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Robinson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Robinson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Takahashi shoots in and drives through. Robinson sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Robinson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Robinson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Robinson. Takahashi takes a kick to the side of the head. Takahashi shoots for a double leg takedown but Robinson sprawls well. He's pushed Takahashi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Takahashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robinson sprawls well. Robinson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takahashi gets slowly back to his feet. Robinson connects with a jab. Takahashi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kushin Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takahashi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Robinson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Takahashi drops back looking for a leg! Robinson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robinson manages to kick Takahashi off! Takahashi jumps back into Robinson's guard. Takahashi wants to control from the top but Robinson keeps moving. Robinson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Takahashi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Robinson avoids it really well and circles away. Robinson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Takahashi is defended easily by Robinson. Robinson looks to land a combination. Takahashi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Takahashi shoots in and bounces Robinson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Robinson keeping full guard, as Takahashi tries to pass. Robinson wants to stand up but Takahashi is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Robinson rushes Takahashi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Robinson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Takahashi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Robinson is fending him off so far but Takahashi persists. Nope, Robinson circles away and we're back to standing. Robinson instigates a clinch. Takahashi goes for a takedown attempt but Robinson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Takahashi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Robinson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Robinson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Robinson. No luck for Takahashi with that takedown attempt. Takahashi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Robinson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takahashi circles away quickly and effectively. Kushin Takahashi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Robinson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takahashi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Robinson is keeping the position for now. Takahashi prevents Robinson from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Robinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Takahashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Robinson to the mat! Robinson manages to get full guard. Takahashi prevents Robinson from getting back to his feet. Takahashi drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Takahashi as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Robinson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Takahashi! Nice submission victory there!
