Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Captain Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Frederman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Captain Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronald Frederman!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frederman takes the fight into the clinch.

Frederman lands a takedown into guard.
Frederman wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Gracie pulls Frederman in close to prevent any damage.
Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Frederman is proving a slippery customer.
Frederman is fighting to break Gracie's control of his arms but Gracie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Frederman wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Gracie keeping moving, preventing Frederman from controlling successfully.
Gracie seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Frederman trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Frederman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.

Frederman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frederman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Frederman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Frederman wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Frederman stays in close to Gracie's body and controls the position.
Gracie keeping full guard, as Frederman tries to pass.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A left and a right from Frederman both land. Nice combination.

Frederman rushes Gracie and presses him up against the cage.

Frederman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frederman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gracie momentarily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gracie gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Frederman.

Frederman has managed to clinch.
Frederman using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Frederman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Frederman goes for a takedown attempt but Gracie pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Captain Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Frederman.

Frederman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ronald Frederman seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Frederman tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Frederman doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
No joy there for Frederman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Frederman there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronald Frederman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Frederman throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.

Frederman misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frederman misses with a jab, cross combination.

Frederman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Frederman.
Ronald Frederman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frederman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Frederman's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Frederman duly obliges.
Frederman throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
Frederman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Frederman, right into the meat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Frederman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ronald Frederman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Frederman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
