Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tokugawa Ieyasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokugawa Ieyasu! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Paul misses. Horrible takedown by Paul or perhaps it was just good defense by Ieyasu which made him look bad. Ieyasu shoots in for a double leg but Paul sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Paul misses the jab. Ieyasu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paul manages to get to full guard.
Ieyasu controlling from the top position. Paul wants to stand and escape but Ieyasu is having none of it. Ieyasu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Paul wants to stand and escape but Ieyasu is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ieyasu's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ieyasu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ieyasu is in close to Paul's body, working some short punches and elbows. Paul avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ieyasu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Paul gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ieyasu counters with a shoot takedown. Paul fights it but they end up in guard. Ieyasu wants to pass the guard but Paul is keeping the position. Ieyasu content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ieyasu preventing the sweep. Ieyasu controlling from the top position. Ieyasu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ieyasu showing good wrestling skills to control the position. I looks like Ieyasu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paul keeping full guard, as Ieyasu tries to pass. Paul tries to land a sweep but no joy. Paul is breathing heavily. Ieyasu trying to control the position from guard on top but Paul is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Despite being in the dominant position, Tokugawa Ieyasu just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Paul with a lazy takedown attempt and Ieyasu counters with a single leg into guard. Paul didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ieyasu controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ieyasu's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tokugawa Ieyasu dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Paul throws a series of punches but Ieyasu avoids them all with ease. Paul lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ieyasu at a distance.
Ron Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paul stuffs the takedown. Paul misses with a head kick.
Ieyasu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Paul can't do much from the bottom here. Ieyasu controlling from side mount. Paul tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ieyasu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Paul wants to get back to his feet but Ieyasu drags him back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ieyasu controls the position.

Paul tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ieyasu counters with a single leg into guard. Paul didn't expect that. Ieyasu sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ieyasu with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ieyasu with a nice head shot there. Ieyasu controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ieyasu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Paul utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ieyasu wants to control from the top but Paul keeps moving. Ieyasu showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ieyasu pushes down on Paul's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ieyasu performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Ieyasu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ieyasu shoots in but no luck this time. Ieyasu scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Tokugawa Ieyasu has got the better of the ground game so far. Paul on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ieyasu slows the pace down in half guard. Ieyasu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ieyasu missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ieyasu is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ieyasu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tokugawa Ieyasu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

and Ieyasu counters with a slapping leg kick. Paul misses with a takedown attempt and Ieyasu counters with a shoot takedown. Paul fights it but they end up in guard. Ieyasu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ieyasu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ieyasu throwing strikes from guard but Paul blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ieyasu pushes down on Paul's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ieyasu sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Paul defending well though. Ieyasu performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ieyasu is keen to just control but Paul is a slippery customer. Ieyasu is taking a breather. Paul says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Let's hope that Ieyasu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tokugawa Ieyasu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Paul struggling a bit here. Ieyasu taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ieyasu shoots and misses and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Paul. Ron Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Ieyasu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Paul throws a series of punches but Ieyasu moves out of range. Ieyasu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Paul avoids it really well and circles away. Ieyasu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paul, pushing him back against the cage. Ieyasu breaks the clinch.
Ron Paul has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! No luck for Ieyasu with that takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Tokugawa Ieyasu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ieyasu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
