Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DaMarcus Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Lamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Lamon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lamon.

That was a close round but I would say that DaMarcus Johnson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lamon has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Johnson finds it's way round the side to connect with Lamon's head.
Johnson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Johnson duly obliges.

Lamon has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close second round but I would say that DaMarcus Johnson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Johnson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lamon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Lamon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lamon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Johnson is not content to let Lamon control the position.
Johnson parries the strikes from Lamon easily there. Lamon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Johnson to escape.
Lamon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lamon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lamon shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Lamon needs to keep his hands up - Johnson had a free shot at his head there.

DaMarcus Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Lamon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.

Randy Lamon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Lamon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to DaMarcus Johnson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
