The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lucavei.
Lucavei keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

so Smchalenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Smchalenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Smchalenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Lucavei is retaining full guard.
Lucavei throws his legs up looking for a submission but Smchalenko uses it to pass to side control.
Smchalenko is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lucavei looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smchalenko gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lucavei is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smchalenko lets go of the hold and Lucavei can pop his arm back in it's socket.
