Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Galazin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Godlewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Godlewski!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galazin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Godlewski avoids it really well and circles away.

and Galazin counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Galazin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Galazin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Galazin shoots in and bounces Godlewski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Galazin wants to stand but Godlewski has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Godlewski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Galazin sprawls well initially but Godlewski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Godlewski passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Galazin!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Godlewski is looking to advance position but Galazin won't allow it.
Galazin is looking to get back to full guard here but Godlewski has managed to pass to side control instead.

Galazin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Galazin wants to control from the top but Godlewski keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Godlewski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Godlewski swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Godlewski wants to clinch.
Galazin tries to close the distance and clinch but Godlewski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Galazin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Galazin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Godlewski is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Godlewski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Galazin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Godlewski wants to sweep here but Galazin controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Galazin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Godlewski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Galazin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Godlewski on the ground.

Galazin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Galazin dives in and grabs Godlewski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Godlewski pushes down on Galazin's head and hops out.

Godlewski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Godlewski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Godlewski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Godlewski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
