The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peterson moves into the clinch.
Peterson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Murphy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Murphy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peterson's guard.

Peterson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Murphy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Murphy is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Peterson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Peterson!

Let's hope that Peterson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Murphy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Peterson shoots in but Murphy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Murphy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Murphy lands in his opponent's guard.

Murphy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murphy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Clay Murphy will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Peterson catches Murphy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Clay Murphy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Peterson has left one of his arms exposed and Murphy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Peterson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
