PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chone Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ralph Gracie told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ralph Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Key closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gracie is looking for a sweep.
Key scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gracie to see if he's OK.

Key lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.

Ralph Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Key sprawls well. Key wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gracie lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Key hold on?!

Gracie lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Gracie.
Gracie lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Key.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
