The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from fetra is defended easily by Rujo.
fetra really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rujo slaps away a takedown attempt from fetra, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rujo stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jhon fetra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
fetra fails with a takedown attempt.
Rujo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. fetra did well to prevent Rujo getting side control.
Rujo seems to be working for a kimura but fetra defends the submission attempt.
Rujo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
fetra is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rujo landing strikes from the mount and fetra is in trouble!
Rujo moves to back control.
fetra wants to escape the position.
Rujo has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for fetra! Can he survive? No! He's out! Rujo gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
