Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Constantine Markakis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Oak!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Oak finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Markakis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oak, pushing him back against the cage.
Markakis scores with a nice hook to the head.
Oak tries to break the clinch but Markakis is controlling the position.
Oak jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Markakis walks away with a smile on his face. Oak gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Markakis has closed the distance and engaged Oak in a clinch.
Oak misses with a hook from the clinch.
Markakis stalling the fight.
Markakis misses with a knee strike.
Markakis lands an elbow inside that Oak shrugs off.
Oak tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Oak is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Markakis lands a nice elbow.
Markakis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Oak's efforts to push away.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Markakis obliges.
Oak has Markakis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Markakis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Markakis lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
