Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Butch DeLoria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bertram Russel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russel has chosen Space Lord by Monster Magnet as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Russel throws a head kick but DeLoria moves out of range.
Russel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Butch DeLoria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeLoria misses with a straight left.
DeLoria swings and misses with a hook to the body.
DeLoria swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
DeLoria ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Russel moves away.
DeLoria misses with a body shot.
DeLoria scores with a nice head shot.
Russel cracks a nice hook into DeLoria's ribs.
DeLoria throws a shot to the body.
DeLoria lands a jab to Russel's midsection.
DeLoria misses the shot to the body.
DeLoria thows a body shot but no joy.
Russel tries to work over DeLoria's front leg with a kick but DeLoria checks it.
Russel lands with a slapping head kick.
DeLoria swings and misses with a hook to the body.
DeLoria is looking to wear down Russel with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Bertram Russel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Russel attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
DeLoria throws an overhand right that lands on Russel's shoulder, as Russel tries to avoid the shot.
DeLoria misses with a hook. Russel ducked under it nicely.
Russel moves away from the strike by DeLoria.
DeLoria connects with a body shot.
DeLoria misses the jab.
Russel walks into a stiff left hand from DeLoria.
DeLoria misses with a low kick.
DeLoria fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Russel looks gassed!
DeLoria drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
DeLoria looking to pass the guard.
DeLoria wants to control from the top but Russel keeps moving.
DeLoria pushes down on Russel's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Russel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeLoria. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This has been an exciting period of action!
DeLoria throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
DeLoria is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Russel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time DeLoria.
DeLoria is pressing down on Russel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Russel is holding on for now.
DeLoria is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeLoria moves nicely into side control.
Russel wants to get back to his feet.

Russel is trying to improve his position.
Russel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but DeLoria has just dragged him back down to the mat.
DeLoria landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
DeLoria advances to mount.
DeLoria is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Russel is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Russel flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. DeLoria anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Russel and secures both hooks! This could be bad! DeLoria slips an arm under Russel chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. DeLoria has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. DeLoria is squeezing on Russel like an anaconda would it's prey. Russel fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Butch DeLoria!
