PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Hander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Charyak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charyak is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Guns and Roses- Welcome to the Jungle. The key to victory for Klaus Hander has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charyak stuffs the takedown attempt from Hander. Hander gets slowly back to his feet.
Hander shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Charyak as he jumps to the side.
Hander fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Charyak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hander is looking to clinch.
No joy there for Charyak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hander is fighting off a takedown attempt but Charyak is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hander to the mat. Hander regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Hander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Charyak's waist but Charyak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hander off to one side.
