Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snow Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hale has chosen Remember The Name as his entrance music. Ron Larson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Snow Hale's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Larson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Snow Hale!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Hale gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hale looking for a guillotine here but Larson defends easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hale has an active guard here but Larson has managed to pass into half guard.
Larson wants to get back to his feet.

Hale is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Larson pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Larson wants to pass the guard but Hale is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hale looking for submissions off his back.
Larson working over Hale with some ground and pound. Hale looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Hale looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Larson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hale manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hale is looking for a triangle here but Larson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Hale's face as Larson controls the position.

Hale is trying to reverse the position but instead Larson has taken his back - oops!

Larson is trying to stick to Hale's back but Hale is turning into Larson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Larson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hale.

Hale drops back looking for a leg! Larson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Larson manages to kick Hale off! Hale jumps back into Larson's guard.

Larson working for a triangle but Hale defends it easily.

Larson is working an open guard so Hale takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A punch combination from Hale misses.
Hale will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hale throws a right and a left that Larson avoids nicely.
Hale gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Larson moves into the clinch.

Hale drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hale tries to circle away but Larson has him pinned against the cage.
Hale changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Larson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ron Larson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Snow Hale.

and Larson counters with a big head kick but Hale shrugs it off.
Hale lands a jab-cross combination.
Hale throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hale swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Larson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Larson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hale wants to get back to striking at distance but Larson won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ron Larson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Larson tries to clinch but Hale is having none of it.
Hale misses with a jab, cross combination.
A head kick from Larson lands but Hale takes it in his stride.
Larson is looking to clinch but Hale is avoiding it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Larson.
Larson wants to stand but Hale has his arm trapped.
Hale manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hale is looking for a kimura but Larson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hale to get the leverage.
Larson wants to control but Hale is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hale is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Larson defends it well.

Hale is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hale wants to work for an arm triangle but Larson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hale is working for a kimura here but Larson manages to reverse the position and he's now in Hale's guard.

Hale is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hale manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Larson manages to get himself to full guard.
Hale must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Larson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hale drops back looking for a leg! Larson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Larson manages to kick Hale off! Hale jumps back into Larson's guard.

Hale postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Larson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hale, into his guard.

Hale looking for a guillotine here but Larson defends easily.

Larson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hale has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Larson has managed to get both his arms back between Hale's legs - danger averted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hale has his foot on Larson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Larson works his way back into a safe position though.

Hale is looking for a triangle here but Larson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

I really don't envy Larson right now.
