Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Caribbean Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Painmaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Painmaker has chosen X gonna give it to ya. as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caribbean Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Painmaker! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Painmaker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Painmaker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knight is just riding it out for now. Painmaker eventually gives up the hold. Knight blocking the ground and pound attempt from Painmaker. Painmaker not landing any meaningful shots this time. Knight trying to control here.
Painmaker is trying to control. Knight wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Painmaker with the ground and pound but Knight uses the opportunity to regain guard. Painmaker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Painmaker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Knight utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Knight swats away the attempt to clinch by Painmaker. Knight fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Painmaker avoids the head kick by Knight.

Painmaker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Painmaker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Painmaker throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Painmaker landing punches. Painmaker throws some wild stikes that Knight manages to avoid easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight is in a horrible position here. Painmaker smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Knight is trying desperately to improve position. Knight tries to hold on but Painmaker pushes him away. Painmaker tries to control but Knight wriggling away. Knight tries to reverse the position but Painmaker maintains control. Painmaker scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Painmaker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Painmaker dominating with strikes here. Painmaker tries to control but Knight wriggling away. Knight is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Painmaker prevents Knight from getting the reversal. Painmaker dominating with strikes here. Knight wants to hold on but Painmaker pushes him away. Knight suckers Painmaker into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Knight is now in Painmaker's guard!

Jacob Painmaker dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Painmaker clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the cage. Painmaker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Knight pulls him back up using the underhooks. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Painmaker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Painmaker lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Knight is in trouble now - Painmaker has advanced to mount! Painmaker breaks from Knight's wrist control and lands an elbow. Painmaker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Knight's face.

That's one minute gone in the round. Knight is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Painmaker punching from mount but Knight doing a good job of avoiding damage. Poor strikes thrown by Painmaker there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Knight blocking the ground and pound. Knight tries to lock up and control but Painmaker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Painmaker misses with a head shot. Painmaker postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Knight looks a forlorn figure.
Knight is looking to improve his position but Painmaker isn't that keen on the idea. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Knight jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Painmaker walks away with a smile on his face. Knight gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caribbean Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him. Painmaker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knight closes the distance and clinches up with Painmaker, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes Painmaker against the cage but Painmaker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Painmaker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Painmaker throwing strikes from guard but Knight blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Painmaker wants to stand and escape but instead Knight has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Painmaker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Painmaker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Painmaker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Painmaker strikes from his own guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Painmaker has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Knight is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Painmaker. Jacob Painmaker has got the better of the ground game so far. Knight trying to control the action but Painmaker is working from the bottom. Knight moves into full mount! Painmaker is squirming around, avoiding Knight's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Painmaker tries to lock up and control but Knight gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Painmaker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jacob Painmaker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Knight can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Painmaker is looking to escape. Painmaker tries to improve his position but Knight has taken his back! Knight has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Painmaker tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Knight pushes Painmaker away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
