Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruffuss Passat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taz Fodido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ruffuss Passat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Taz Fodido! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fodido tries to clinch up. Passat clinches up with Fodido and pushes him back against the cage. Passat lands a knee to the body.
Passat breaks from the clinch.
Passat jabs at Fodido's body. Passat drives through and clinches with Fodido against the cage.
Passat jumps into guard, dragging Fodido to the mat.
Passat avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Passat looking to control but Fodido passes into half guard.
Fodido passes to full mount! Fodido wants to stand but Fodido is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Passat wants to control but Fodido is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fodido punching from mount but Passat doing a good job of avoiding damage. Fodido wants to stand but Fodido is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Fodido looks gassed! Passat is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Passat working to try and regain half guard.
Passat is working hard here to advance position. Fodido has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Passat is trying to reverse the position but instead Fodido has taken his back - oops! Passat tries to break free.
Passat trying to control but not successfully. Even with his hooks in, Fodido manages to miss with strikes from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Passat is really stuck here.
Fodido punches the canvas rather than the man. Passat holding both Fodido 's hands and preventing any damage. Fodido tries to get the hooks in deep but Passat pushed the leg off. Passat controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad spot.
Fodido is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Passat is defending well though. Fodido let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Passat surviving as best he can, preventing damage. Fodido lands a shot to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Passat is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruffuss Passat dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Passat jabs Fodido right on the nose. Fodido blinks but takes it well. Fodido clinches but Passat breaks the clinch letting Passat counter with a right hand. Nice sprawl there from Fodido as Passat shoots in. Passat really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fodido closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fodido lands in his opponent's guard. Fodido trying to control the position from guard on top but Passat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fodido trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fodido stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Passat swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fodido tries to stand but Passat is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fodido advances to half guard. Fodido is breathing heavily. Fodido prevents Passat from standing back up.
Fodido seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Passat does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Passat has one foot on Fodido's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A punch combination from Passat misses. Passat has Fodido up against the cage in a clinch.
Fodido tries to pull guard but Passat won't allow it.
Passat breaks the clinch.
Fodido tries to clinch there but Passat circles away.
Passat lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Nice shot by Passat. Ruffuss Passat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Passat feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fodido keeping moving, preventing Passat from controlling successfully. Fodido is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Passat frees his head nicely. Oh but Fodido has switched to an armbar! Passat is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
