The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira avoids a kick to the body.
Overeem pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nogueira ducks right into an uppercut from Overeem.
It looks like Fedor Nogueira has been cut.

Nogueira shoots in and bounces Overeem off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Overeem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nogueira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nogueira shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Overeem pinned against the cage. Overeem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Overeem cracks Nogueira with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nogueira looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Overeem finish him?
Oh Nogueira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Overeem manages to break the clinch.
Nogueira seems to have got his legs back now.
Overeem fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Overeem works over Nogueira's head and body with a nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nogueira bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Overeem, as that shot connected.

Overeem throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Overeem lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Overeem cracks the inside of Nogueira's front leg.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nogueira checks a leg kick.
Overeem stalks Nogueira and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nogueira's face. Nogueira staggers backwards, shaken.
Fedor Nogueira's cut is getting worse.

Overeem throws a right and a left that Nogueira avoids nicely.
Nogueira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Overeem looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nogueira looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Nogueira is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Overeem has escaped the position, nice work there.

Overeem is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nogueira working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Nogueira has an Americana. Overeem didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nogueira is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nogueira hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
