Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Gallagher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Jackson!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson tries to clinch

and Gallagher counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gallagher is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top!
Gallagher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!
Gallagher could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gallagher goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jackson turns into him and now he's in Gallagher's guard.

Gallagher is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.
Jackson tries to stand but Gallagher is controlling from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gallagher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gallagher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gallagher is pulling down on Jackson's head to control his posture.

Gallagher looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jackson passes into half guard.
Gallagher is breathing heavily.
Gallagher wants to get back to full guard.
Jackson moves into full mount! Gallagher won't be happy about that!

Jackson controlling the pace for now.
Jackson prevents Gallagher from getting the reversal.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson is going olschool here, as he tries to force Gallagher to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gallagher shrugs it off.

Gallagher slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Gallagher makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gallagher.

Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gallagher looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jackson passes into side control.
Gallagher is looking to reverse the position.

Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Gallagher get back to his feet.
Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gallagher fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jackson checks it well.
Jackson closes the distance looking to clinch

and Gallagher decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson controlling the position.
Gallagher lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Gallagher is standing up over Jackson. Jackson looks to escape but Gallagher dives into side control.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gallagher is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Gallagher dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jackson misses with a takedown

so Gallagher counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gallagher postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.
Gallagher passes Jackson's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Gallagher is trying for a kimura here. Jackson looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Gallagher wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jay Gallagher!
