Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monroe has chosen Bad boy 4 Life as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jin Kazama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Monroe! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monroe shoots in looking for a takedown. Kazama tries to sprawl out of it but Monroe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Kazama manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Monroe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Monroe drives through with a takedown into guard. Monroe prevents Kazama from getting back to his feet. Monroe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Monroe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Monroe postures up in Kazama's guard and throws a big left but Kazama blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe forces his way into half guard. Kazama wants to get back to his feet. Kazama keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Monroe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kazama defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kazama throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kazama swinging wilding here.
Kazama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Some wild striking there from Kazama.
Monroe avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Kazama, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Monroe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kazama throws a right hand that Monroe ducks under and follows up with a left that Monroe also avoids with ease. Kazama throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama closes the distance and pushes Monroe back into the ropes. Kazama tries to land a knee to the head but Monroe blocks with his arms.

Monroe decides to pull guard. Monroe has his foot on Kazama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kazama works his way back into a safe position though. Kazama stopping the sweep attempt from Monroe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monroe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kazama is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Monroe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kazama's back instead. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kazama is trying to get back to his feet but Monroe has full control of the position and if anything, Kazama has just worked his way into a worse spot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Monroe dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kazama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kazama doesn't manage to clinch there - Monroe circles away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Monroe is defended easily by Kazama. Kazama tries to close the distance and clinch up but Monroe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Monroe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kazama is fending him off so far but Monroe persists. Nope, Kazama circles away and we're back to standing. Kazama misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kazama keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jin Kazama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Monroe. A swing and a miss from Kazama. Monroe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kazama napping and manages to drive through into side control! Monroe is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kazama is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Kazama is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Monroe asserts his dominance and retains side control. Monroe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Monroe in side control, throwing shots but Kazama defends. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Monroe avoids the head kick by Kazama.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kazama. That's going to slow Monroe down. Kazama throws a series of punches but Monroe moves out of range. Kazama cracks the inside of Monroe's front leg. Monroe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kazama pinned against the cage. Kazama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kazama rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monroe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazama clinches. Kazama using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Monroe has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Jin Kazama dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Monroe has a takedown stuffed. Monroe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monroe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Monroe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Monroe looking to finish with strikes here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe throws a strike there. Kazama manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kazama won't allow Monroe to pass to mount. Monroe trying to control from Kazama's half guard. Kazama has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Kazama is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monroe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kazama works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Monroe throws a strike but Kazama rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Monroe lands a good elbow from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Monroe trying to keep a closed guard but Kazama is proving a slippery customer.
Kazama would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dan Monroe. I think Monroe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
