PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Swick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLovin has chosen "Gimme Some Lovin" by the Spencer Davis Group as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad McLovin!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swick has a takedown stuffed.
Swick works McLovin's body with a nice hook.

McLovin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

McLovin pushes Swick off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McLovin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Swick keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Swick darts in and clinches McLovin up against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McLovin is on top in guard.

Swick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McLovin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McLovin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Swick counters with a thumping low kick.

McLovin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Swick but Swick pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Swick drives through and clinches with McLovin against the cage.
Swick lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt McLovin or not.

Swick manages to break the clinch.
Swick lands with a cross.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Swick.

McLovin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

McLovin stands up and waves to Swick to follow him.
Swick circles away from the clinch attempt.

A head kick from Swick lands but McLovin takes it in his stride.

Swick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Swick lands in his opponent's guard.
McLovin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McLovin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Swick can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

McLovin throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Swick has his hands clasped together but McLovin breaks the hold and Swick is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by McLovin!
