The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gays misses with a head kick.
Gays tries for a takedown but Saleh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gays shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Saleh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gays must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Saleh has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gays should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Saleh has tightened it up now! Gays should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
