Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anders Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Calvaho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by bring your whole crew. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to clinch but Calvaho is avoiding it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Calvaho is working away from the top position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Calvaho tries to stall but Silva uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Calvaho has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Silva has had enough of the clinch but Calvaho keeps him there for the moment.

Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Calvaho is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silva keeps control of Calvaho as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Calvaho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Calvaho shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Calvaho was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Calvaho prevents Silva from getting the reversal.

Silva's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Calvaho's attempts to control the action.
Silva is trying to reverse the position but instead Calvaho has taken his back - oops!
Calvaho is working for a rear naked choke. Silva is not defending it well and Calvaho has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Silva refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Silva's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ronaldo Calvaho!
