Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obi Konbi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konbi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is underoath-a fault line a fault of mine. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira drives through with a takedown into guard.

Konbi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Nogueira shoots for a takedown but Konbi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nogueira has hold of Konbi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Konbi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nogueira wants to finish this one by submission but Konbi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nogueira.
Nogueira is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Konbi has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Nogueira is looking to stand but Nogueira has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Nogueira goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Konbi turns into him and now he's in Nogueira's guard.
Konbi wants to get up but he can't break Nogueira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Nogueira has his foot on Konbi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Konbi works his way back into a safe position though.
Konbi gets to his feet - Nogueira follows without any prompting.
Nogueira shoots for a takedown but Konbi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Konbi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Nogueira fails with the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Nogueira or perhaps it was just good defense by Konbi which made him look bad.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nogueira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Konbi but Konbi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Konbi throws a right and a left that Nogueira avoids nicely.
Konbi misses with a wild combination.
Nice takedown defense from Konbi. No joy for Nogueira on that attempt.
Konbi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nogueira shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Konbi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Nogueira throws and elbow that misses. Konbi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nogueira's guard. Nice move by Konbi!
Nogueira has a closed guard, preventing Konbi from standing up.
Nogueira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Konbi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nogueira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Konbi's back instead.
Well, with Nogueira on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Konbi is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nogueira has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Konbi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Nogueira misses with punches from the back.
Konbi is trying to get back to his feet but Nogueira has full control of the position and if anything, Konbi has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Nogueira has managed to slip his arm under Konbi's chin. This could be all over... yep, Konbi is tapping out! Submission win for Nogueira.
