Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between PT Coolidge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phill Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, PT Coolidge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phill Lin! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lin is defended easily by Coolidge. Some wild striking there from Lin.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Lin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coolidge decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Coolidge is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lin has managed to free his arm - good work. Coolidge passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lin! Coolidge tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coolidge punching from mount but Lin doing a good job of avoiding damage. Coolidge controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coolidge is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lin! Lin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Coolidge looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Coolidge is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coolidge looking for a guillotine here but Lin defends easily.
Lin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coolidge has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lin has managed to get both his arms back between Coolidge's legs - danger averted. Coolidge working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lin. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Coolidge looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lin wants to control from the top but Coolidge keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
PT Coolidge dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Coolidge shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Coolidge showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Well, if Coolidge is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Coolidge stops Lin from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coolidge takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. PT Coolidge just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Coolidge keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Coolidge shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Coolidge was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Coolidge looking to control and managing it successfully. Lin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lin tries to hold on but Coolidge postures up. Lin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Coolidge.
Coolidge controlling from the full mount. Coolidge thowing shots but they're missing. Coolidge takes Lin's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Lin is in trouble. Coolidge biding his time, controlling Lin.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Coolidge patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lin is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

PT Coolidge dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Lin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coolidge moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Coolidge gets a takedown into half guard. Coolidge is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Coolidge has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coolidge content just to control the position here. Coolidge really is a fat lump. Lin is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Lin wants to get back to his feet.
Coolidge sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. PT Coolidge is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Coolidge has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Coolidge seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lin for as long as he can get away with.
The referee stands the fighters back up. PT Coolidge just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Lin throws a series of punches but Coolidge moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lin swinging wilding here.
Lin tries to clinch up but Coolidge circles away and keeps his distance. Coolidge misses with a takedown attempt and Lin counters with a left and a right that stings Coolidge.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coolidge feints and as Lin raises his hands in defense, Coolidge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Coolidge sitting in guard here, content to control. Lin looking to control.
Phill Lin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. PT Coolidge overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Coolidge sitting in guard, not really doing much.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to PT Coolidge. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coolidge, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
