Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Boris Strelok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Hardy! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strelok slaps away a takedown attempt from Hardy, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hardy gets in close and instigates a clinch. Strelok is working for takedown but Hardy is calmly controlling the position for now. Come on Hardy - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Strelok goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hardy prevents it.
Strelok fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris Strelok. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strelok tries to pull guard but Hardy holds him up against the cage and eventually Strelok drops back down to his feet.
Hardy tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hardy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Strelok swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hardy closes the distance and pushes Strelok back into the cage. Hardy is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Strelok is defending well for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Hardy.
Hardy tries to pull guard but Strelok holds him up against the cage and eventually Hardy drops back down to his feet.

Hardy jumps guard but Strelok stands there with Hardy around his waist. Hardy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hardy pushes Strelok back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hardy tries to pull guard but Strelok holds him up against the cage and eventually Hardy drops back down to his feet.
Hardy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dan Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strelok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Strelok prevents Hardy from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strelok thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hardy is looking to get back to full guard here but Strelok has managed to pass to side control instead. Strelok takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Strelok throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Strelok is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hardy is surviving well by controlling Strelok's body position as best he can. Strelok wants to control the pace but Hardy is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy is looking to improve his position but Strelok isn't that keen on the idea. Strelok controlling his opponent. Hardy is working to get back to half guard.
Hardy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strelok. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Strelok controlling his opponent. Strelok seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hardy for as long as he can get away with. Hardy is squirming around, avoiding Strelok's attempts to control the action. Strelok thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Strelok dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hardy throws a body kick that misses. Hardy with a poor takedown and Strelok counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Well, if Strelok is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hardy can do anything to dispel that myth. Hardy wants to get back to full guard but Strelok has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strelok punching from mount but Hardy doing a good job of avoiding damage. Hardy tries to reverse the position but Strelok maintains control. Strelok looking to isolate an arm here. Hardy doesn't see it coming and as Strelok extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Strelok!
