Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and darth slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes into the arena with Rocky Balboa Theme blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
slice bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
slice takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like darth slice has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - slice looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
darth slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
slice takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
slice is looking to clinch but Santos is avoiding it.
Santos misses with a few strikes there.
slice doesn't manage to clinch there - Santos circles away.
slice tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
slice closes the distance and clinches.
slice breaks the clinch.
slice tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
slice closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Santos paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Santos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. slice looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
slice looks gassed!
slice dodges the punch combination from Santos.
Santos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but slice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Santos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Santos connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That has opened up darth slice's cut even more.
Santos lands a jab to slice's midsection.
Santos digs a good hook to slice's body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. slice looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Santos sends slice crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Santos is motioning to the referee to let slice up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
slice tries to clinch up but Santos circles away and keeps his distance.
Santos closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops slice! Santos dives in looking to finish! slice is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lucas Santos!
