Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Cornish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paulo Farinelli! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cornish takes a swing at Farinelli's ribcage but misses. Cornish misses with a series of wild punches.
Farinelli shoots in but Cornish avoids the takedown attempt easily. Farinelli closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cornish did well to prevent Farinelli getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Farinelli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cornish doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Farinelli. Cornish is looking to improve his position.
Farinelli is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cornish won't allow Farinelli to pass to mount. Farinelli is just content to waste time from the top position. Cornish takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Cornish pulls Farinelli in close to prevent any damage. Cornish misses with a low kick as Farinelli jumps back. Farinelli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Farinelli wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cornish, who protects the arm well. Farinelli tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cornish connects with a couple of short punches. Farinelli has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Cornish has passed into side control.
Farinelli is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cornish connects with a decent elbow. Cornish lands a decent elbow from side control. Cornish wants to lay and pray for a moment but Farinelli keeps working. Farinelli tries to bench press Cornish off him but Cornish keeps the position. Farinelli is trying to control Cornish's posture but Cornish avoids it.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Farinelli trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Farinelli throws and elbow that misses. Cornish uses the momentum to reverse the position.
