The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckner doesn't manage to clinch there - Bennet circles away.
Buckner lands a head kick that stumbles Bennet and the fighters go to the mat.


It looks like Charlie Bennet has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bennet wants to control from the top but Buckner keeps moving.

Buckner pushes Bennet off and gets back to his feet.
Buckner darts in trying to clinch
and Bennet counters with a series of strikes. Buckner will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bennet lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bennet lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bennet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Buckner comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Buckner is pressed up against the cage. Bennet has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Buckner down to the mat. Buckner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
